Tracking 600,000 assets without a clipboard in sight

The challenge
A semi-government organisation in the UAE was responsible for roughly 600,000 individual assets moving constantly across multiple locations. Every transfer, every stock-take, every maintenance call was logged by hand — leading to slow audits, mismatched records, missed maintenance windows, and a management team that could never get a real-time answer to "where is that asset right now?"
What we built
Omegamatrix deployed MaxAsset, our RFID-based asset tracking platform. Each asset is tagged once, then automatically read by RFID gates and handheld scanners every time it moves — with real-time location tracking, automated stock-takes, custody trails, maintenance alerts and audit-ready reports.
The result
Stock audits that used to consume entire teams for weeks now run as routine background jobs. Asset accountability improved sharply, regulatory record-keeping became automatic, and the return on investment showed up in better utilisation of assets the client already owned.
The moment you can see every asset in real time, the conversation stops being about lost items and starts being about how to use what you already have better.
